About Me
Who is Finn Lincoln?

I am a journalist / researcher / investigative reporter with a focus on government accountability, geo-politics, and sports.
I am an absolute nerd about international news, history, philosophy, soccer, basketball, and trivia. I will tell stories to my audience that can paint a picture of the broader cultural impact that sports can have on their audiences and the societies around them. Although my earlier career focused mostly on sports, I have recently started to shift my focus. Shedding light on the plights of those less fortunate is something I see as a great way to give back to my community.

I will tell stories to Americans about prominent issues around the globe in interesting and digestible ways that can help them to be more informed on international news. Additionally, I aim to help people by informing them for the better with my journalism. It is for this reason that I work on investigative projects such as studying the effect of childhood lead poisoning on impoverished communities in Syracuse and holding New York Police accountable for reckless driving. I want to tie my interests together in ways that can be captivating to everyday citizens, activists, community members, followers of international news coverage, sports fans, or anything in between.

I am a born and bred Cleveland native, and I now study news journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School Of Public Communications at Syracuse University. I also study
history and philosophy at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at SU. In my free time, I enjoy reading the news, watching and attending sports matches, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I also work for Syracuse news outlets such as SB Nation and The Newshouse to cover sports.

In recent internships, I have rounded out my skillset by seizing a variety of opportunities that have allowed me to improve my writing, editing, research, data analytics, fact-checking, and content creation skills.
I helped contribute to the work of USA Today on the Driving Force Project. I filed freedom of information requests, organized, crunched, and filed data, and wrote stories to contribute to this project.

I worked with Search Party as they hit 500,000 subscribers by helping to produce videos like 'How the Olympic surfing event made history,' 'Why no one wants to host the Olympics,' and 'The best football country you've never heard of.'

I also worked with ESPN Cleveland where I produced show ideas and rundowns, created social media content, and worked at events representing the ESPN brand.
